I’m Amanda, it’s great to meet you!
I’m the owner of Hairapy by Amanda, serving the Dover, Delaware area. As a mom and wife, I understand how sometimes, you just need YOU time-to read, relax, and not hear ‘mom’ for a little while! You always take care of everyone else, so I want to make sure my salon is that place you go to to take care of yourself. I offer a combination of morning, afternoon, and evening appointments - so come in while the kids are in school, or even after dinner is finished and get some you time.
There’s something about finding the right color and cut that makes your personality shine that makes my heart so happy. Whether it’s maintaining the same look that makes you feel good, or changing it up every few visits, I’m here for you. I’ll also be honest with you along the way-if there’s a look I’m not sure you’ll love, or a color that will take multiple visits to achieve, I’ll be upfront and explain the process of what’s going to be needed before just jumping into it.
I’ve been a stylist for over 20 years, and I truly love making someone feel amazing about how they look. I specialize in coloring services (from getting rid of those grays all the way to unicorn hair) along with cutting techniques. I take at least 3 education classes a year to discover and learn about the best things out there! 2022 is bringing coloring and business classes in California, French cutting, and new product classes! I’m proud to be a Sunlights Artisan Educator for Sunlights Balayage, and I love getting to travel to teach other stylists!
When I’m not at the salon, you’ll usually find me out and about with my family. Visiting the local ice cream shop, traveling up and down the state to find the little treasures off the beaten path, and even longer trips like Williamsburg, VA or Knobels, PA (4 hours of driving is the miserable point for my kids). We are also a foster family for kittens through a local animal shelter, feel free to ask about them! When I need my own unplug and relax time, I love visiting wineries with my besties and checking out local state parks.
